An exclusive immersive show for the 5th anniversary of the Montreal Complètement Cirque festival.
Exceptionally created to mark the 5th anniversary of the Festival Montreal Complètement Cirque, Intersection enjoyed an exclusive, limited summer run at Montreal’s Tohu.
The entire space was transformed into individual immersive performance areas, and an interactive, up-close, ambulatory preshow allowed the audience to roam freely, to learn secrets and details of the various characters’ backstories, to taste, to smell, to touch… Following this immersive preshow, the audience was seated in quartered pie pieces, facing each other, above a stage in the form of two intersecting roads.
This “intersection” was both geometric and metaphorical – propelling the choreography and bodies to collide dynamically, fatefully; pushing the narrative of 8 humans previously unconnected, whose lives were forever transformed by one intersecting event.
